The Evil Within 2 – Everything We Know (So Far)

The Evil Within 2 takes place three years after the first game and is a direct sequel to Tango Gameworks’ original experience.
For those who haven’t played The Evil Within 1, The sequel features Sebastian Castellanos, Our charming and lovable Detective who was pulled into the web of the Evil organization called ‘Mobius’ in the first part.

So the story revolves around Sebastians daughter(Lily) who apparently died in a fire years ago ultimately turning his life upside-down.His wife left him and his life continued to deteriorate much further.Fast forwarding 3 years late after the events of the Evil Within 1, our handsome looking hero in his suave-looking waistcoat finds out that Lily is still alive by none other that Kidman(yaayyyy!!!).Yes the Mobius agent Kidman who also offers him to find and free Lily from Mobius as she is being used for making a new STEM world.great isn’t it? yeah i know. yes there is a catch. Sebastian has to enter the STEM once more to save her precious who god knows is alive or not as Kidman is not the most trusted person on the planet(Just sayin’).

In the trailers we could see a little girl(Lily) multiple times and could not be sure as she is part of Sebastians Sub-consciousness or he is having one of those nightmares. And that we have to actually find out by ourselves by actually playing the game.

Well gameplay wise Evil Within 2 is promising the user to have a bit of freedom to ‘Explore’ the game and level unlike the first game in which there were only predefined paths and features that could be used to get through the levels or to beat the Bosses.

The game will have Weapon creation, Ammo customization and other skill set to tackle the horrors and other monsters-ish creature in this inhumane world.

The gameplay is set in Union, a crumbling city built using Lily’s mind as the Core and will feature a open-world containing lost memories horrors and many other things.

“The Evil Within 2 presents a mix of closed off, claustrophobic environments that are reminiscent of the first game, and new, less linear areas that will give you the opportunity to explore at your own pace. You’ll be able to wander freely and poke through all the dark corners of the world at your leisure, but this is still a survival horror game, and ammo and resources will be scarce. You’ll need to prepare carefully and move cautiously as you discover the secrets of Union and unravel Mobius’ plans from within STEM.” as stated on Bethesda.net
