God Of War Release Date Revealed; Coming Out on April 20,2018

The wait is almost over as Sony has released a new trailer along with the release date for the game. The upcoming action-adventure hack and slash video game will be available on PS4 from April 20th.

On the PlayStation Blog, Cory Barlog has said that the  God of War’s release date is “my favorite release day of my entire career. If I live to be 100, I do not think I will be able to top this release day.”

The game will be competing against the Nintendo’s new line of cardboard toy accessories for the Switch, Nintendo Labo which is also expected to come out on 20 April of this year.

Also on the PlayStation Blog, Barlog talks about the various editions and pre-order incentives for God of War. There’s a digital deluxe edition for around $70, that will include the game, digital art books, and other in-game goods; a collector’s edition for $129.99 that also includes a 9-inch statue of Kratos and Atreus, a cloth map and a SteelBook case; and the Stone Mason edition, which costs $149.99 and includes  a keychain and Stone Mason Ring.

God of War will be a lot different from any of the previous games in the series.”Living as a man outside the shadow of the gods, Kratos must adapt to unfamiliar lands, unexpected threats, and a second chance at being a father,” the official synopsis reads.”Together with his son Atreus, the pair will venture into the brutal Norse wilds and fight to fulfill a deeply personal quest.”

This God of War just like the original 2005 game has the same name and is the first release in the franchise since 2015’s God of War III Remastered.
