After facing troubling server issues recently, the massively popular multiplayer title Fortnine is now in the news again, though for a relatively positive news this time around.
The game, which was developed by Epic Games and saw a massive growth in it’s player base since the addition of a battle royale mode in the past few weeks has now launched what the developers are calling the “Sniper Shootout”. Announcement of the mode came at the footsteps of the 50 vs 50 player battles that the developers introduced in the game back in December.

In the “Sniper Shootout” mode, each of the 100 players that take part in a game will be equipped with nothing more than a sniper rifle, revolvers and no grenades on the map. In addition to these weapons, players will also be able to utilise consumables that give them a small amount of health.
The “Sniper Shootout” mode is now live in the game will be active till the 4th of February for all players of the game on all platforms. And considering Fortnite’s history it wouldn’t be uncommon to see the game mode return as a permanent addition to the game.
The new game mode announcement also follows the recent map update which added various tall tower like structures in the game which can be utilised by the players while playing this game mode. The map update also added eight new locations for the battle royale mode.
Fortnite is a free to play title which can be played on PlayStation4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
