Assassin’s Creed Origins: The Hidden Ones DLC Trailer and Release Date

Almost three months since it’s release, the massively popular third person open world adventure game Assassin’s Creed: Origins recently got it’s first DLC expansion. Entitled “The Hidden Ones”.

The Hidden Ones DLC is the first of three planned DLC expansions that Ubisoft have planned for the game and was released on the 23rd of January 2018. The DLC introduces the brand new region of Sinai in the already extremely intricate re imagination of ancient Egypt that is present in the game and will follow the protagonist of the game, called “Bayek” as he travels to Sinai to neutralise an ongoing Roman Invasion.

The Hidden Ones is set 4 years after the events of the main game and according to the developers will be hugely story driven. While the general direction of the game is not much affected by the DLC, it was largely praised by players and critics alike for building upon the already well established world of Assassin’s Creed: Origins.

The DLC adds numerous quests in the game, an entirely new map, a higher level cap of 45 (the recommended level for travelling to Sinai in the first place is 40), new side quests, a denser and intense environment thanks to the relatively small size of the map, new legendary rarity weapons, a new outfit and various weapons. The DLC comes at no cost for season pass holders of the game, and $10 for others.

Ubisoft have also released a few details about the next DLC for the game which has been titled “Curse of the Paraohs”. It will be released sometime in March and will feature a story line that will be entirely different from the main game. The game revolves around a curse that causes the dead to come back to life.

As is to be expected of any DLC, Curse of the Paraohs will also bring about new weapons, items, and characters to the game and will be sold at a price of $20 to non season pass holders.

Assassin’s Creed Origins The Hidden Ones DLC was released for the PlayStation4, Xbox One and Windows PC on the 23rd of January 2018.
